Treatment

We wanted to produce an advert, an advert that’s more than just an advert making someone look awesome. we wanted to produce something with meaning. We looked at the beckhams, and the way they’re portrayed in the media compared to the way they actually are at home, in their own time and space.  The way they’re portrayed in adverts and magazines couldn’t be anymore different than how they are really. Having had three children together, it is clear that really both Victoria and David are in fact not the people we see in the adverts, they’re false, they’re selling something simply to get the money. However when they’re being bombarded by paparazzi and the photographs are sold, the beckhams are with their children, or holding hands caringly. We see a completely different side to them. Our advert is all about the false personalities that we, the audience, are given to feed off of, to be inspired by.
By creating a brand called “false”, slapping it on every cosmetic item we can think of and then producing numerous adverts, with over the top acting, unrealistic colours and vain, over confident characters. The advert shows you just how ridiculous the portrayal of the human race has become. Imagine if you were an alien, coming to our earth? Would you really want to get to know the people you see in the adverts?

Our advert is selling a message and the message is “ don’t believe what you see in the media”
